A review thats actually about the book...

For the record, I know the author of this book and yes, he had the guts to try a start-up a few years back that went South on him; the previous commenter would likely squirm to know that he tried again and is doing quite well. Please give a review of the book vs your obviously negative view of the author. Now, regarding the book itself - an excellent resource. It is well written, presenting an almost conversational argument and well formed method for applying sound engineering rigor to the field of software engineering.

I cannot recommend a book on engineering design by an author who has demonstrated a lack of good engineering design in his own software projects. Read with skepticism.
