Jealousy can make you do the craziest things!

I'm actually finding it hard to put into words what I loved about this short, HOT, STEAMY, EROTIC, read. I think what first grabbed me & drew me in was that blurb, I mean those final words "That's why I did the unthinkable..." had me wondering just what happened. So I started this intrigueing read, unsure just what Kandie had instore for me, but not able to stop even if I tried. Next thing I knew it was the end & I was left wondering WHY?? but then I've never been in Vic's possition.
Victoria, Vic for short, marries her highschool sweetheart Caleb, much to his mother's disgust. Shortly after their honeymoon they move to Dublin & escape the inlaws... Whilst her mother in-law is visiting Vic meets Finley for the first time...
As events move forward you see the changes within Vic, her needs, her wants & by being desregarded by Caleb she turns to Fin, then her life truely begins & I was HOOKED. I couldn't put it down. Dark, twisted, hot, steamy, erotic, the chemistry between the characters, then that ending, all of it made for quite a read. Jealousy can make you do the craziest things!

Crazy good read!

Envy is the dark novella of Victoria Stapley. Victoria is married to her high school sweetheart Caleb. Life is good till it isn't. After a few years the couple move to Dublin, Victoria is introduced to Fin Sheridan. Fin is a businessman/artist that doesn't care if Victoria is married, he goes out of his way to seduce her.
This is one roller coaster of a dark ride. Victoria doesn't apologize for loving two men nor does she try to hide her obsession with Fin. Fin wasn't a normal hero you find in a romance. In fact, thank goodness this is a dark romance because he was a selfish, selfish man. The one relationship that did surprise me is with her mother in law Shar. Shar was such a witch to Victoria from the very beginning but ends up helping her throughout and eventually is the one person who doesn't abandon Victoria.
The ending was very surprising to me. I thought the author ended it perfectly. But when I read the very last sentence I thought Victoria shouldn't have had an affair, she should have ran to the nearest shrink. But all in all I thought it was a good story.

Great story

This was a very interesting book. For the most part I truly enjoyed it. I did however feel it went from one place to a different side completely. And for me not in a too terribly believable or realistic way. There is also a little trouble where the author switches between 1st and 3rd person.
Overall however, I loved the main part of the story and think Ms Stix is a truly talented author. This is a story unlike any I personally have read before. I definitely think I will be reading more rom her. Warning this is NOT a Happily ever after
