It's been a long time since I've loved a book so much

I don't even LIKE short stories, but I was intrigued by the title, and read the story with the same title while at the store. I bought the book because once i read the first passage I wanted to stand in front of the shelf, there, like an idiot, reading every page till my lower back ached.
Instead, I took it home and read every single story, completely mesmerized. Susan Jackson Rodgers' writing is so familiar and simple that you feel like you could write that way, except you know you never could, because each one leaves you invigorated and touched and a little weepy, and no matter what you do, you will be a schlub in front of a bookshelf with an aching back, and not someone who can write in a touching, invigorating, weep-inducing way.

This book is so good... once I started, I could not put it down! Humorous, with scenes and ideas that make you smile and reminisce. Great stories that are so pleasurable to read, the author is a true wordsmith. Highly recommended.
