It’s the best kind of fear though

I'm a young professional in my late 20s who's done the quarter-life-crisis thing, and arguably still am. This book has forced me to revisit some thoughts and fears that I’ve worked steadily over the past couple years to overcome. It’s the best kind of fear though. The kind of fear you have before you face the things that end up meaning the most. Like the author, I’ve moved, changed jobs, taken a break from the 'real world,' read the self-help books, listened to the podcasts and talked to countless people I respect and trust about what to do next, all to realize in a rock bottom moment that it has nothing to do with WHAT you’re doing and everything to do with what you are feeling. With another recent move and a new job, I’m still figuring it all out, and these 12 questions are helping in a big way. I can't thank John enough for having the courage to put his thoughts and feelings into words for the rest of us to learn from.

I don't think I can possibly add more than these other reviews haven't already touched on...but I'll try :)

(Note: I received an advanced copy of the book AND downloaded it on Kindle.)

John's book is engaging, humorous and filled with awesome stories—not only his own, but others', too. I would especially recommend it for someone who is "stuck", unsure on next steps to take.

The book is awakening, and without a doubt will bring about positive life changes—with a little work on your end, of course.

John does a great job putting words to the feeling that so many people have had at one time or another. The ideas in the book are actionable and help develop perspective during what can be a truly overwhelming time for so many millenials. Great read!

Yeager offers practical advice on where to look for artifacts, how to identify artifacts, where surface collecting is permissible, as well as how to start and care for a personal collection. Arrowheads & Stone Artifacts is a superbly written and presented introduction that is highly recommended for personal, school, and community library popular archaeology and Native American studies reference collections.

Informative book by an obvious master of the subject

A valuable book, especially for beginning collectors like myself. Well written in a conversational style that welcomes the reader in. It's worth noting that, due to the author's own experience and background, the book focuses primarily upon artifact collecting in the Western U.S. and is therefore of maximum benefit for readers from that region.

A good book, however contains a lot of personal family photos and scenes of camp sites of nil interest or information to anyone but the authors family. Also has a fair amount of pottery information, a strange choice for a book on stone artifacts and arrowheads. Good but not fantastic.

About the Author
Nita Rutkosky began teaching business education courses at Pierce College in Puyallup, Washington, in 1978. Since then she has taught a variety of software applications to students in postsecondary Information Technology certificate and degree programs. In addition to this title, she has co-authored the Marquee Series 2013, 2010, 2007, and 2003, Signature Series 2013, 2010, 2007, and 2003, Using Computers in the Medical Office: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2010, 2007 and 2003, and Computer and Internet Essentials: Preparing for IC3. She has also authored textbooks on keyboarding, WordPerfect, desktop publishing, and voice recognition for Paradigm Publishing. Denise Seguin has served in the Faculty of Business at Fanshawe College of Applied Arts and Technology in London, Ontario since 1986. She developed curriculum and taught a variety of office technology, software applications, and accounting courses to learners in postsecondary Information Technology diploma programs and Continuing Education courses. Seguin has served as Program Coordinator for Computer Systems Technician, Computer Systems Technology, Office Administration, and Law Clerk programs and was acting Chair of the School of Information Technology in 2001. Along with authoring Microsoft Outlook 2013, she has also authored and co-authored many computer application textbooks for Paradigm Education Solutions. President Omar al-Bashir is Africa’s and arguably Arabia’s most controversial leader. In power since 1989, he is the first sitting head of state to be issued with an arrest warrant, for war crimes, by International Criminal Court.

He has been a central personality in Islamic and African politics, as well as a love-to-hate figure for the US in the ‘war on terror’.

For military history readers, Al-Bashir is a field marshal who has fought possibly the world’s longest conflict. Modern Sudan has been embroiled in war since 1955.

No proper biography has been written on him before. Nor has there been a comprehensive military history of Sudan. The book briefly covers the military background until independence. Then it dissects the long north-south civil war until Bashir’s Islamist military coup in 1989. Thereafter it narrates the wars in the east, south, west (in Darfur), International political and military intervention is also factored in.

The author draws on in-depth one-on-one interviews with Bashir himself and his family and close political, military and intelligence colleagues.

Professor Paul Moorcraft has over 20 years frontline reporting experiencers, from Zimbabwe to Afghanistan and as a correspondent for print, radio and TV for nearly 40 years. He is currently Visiting Professor at Cardiff University and Director of the Centre for Foreign Policy Analysis, London. Three of his published works are in print with Pen and Sword – The Rhodesian War, Mugabe’s War Machine and Total Destruction of the Tamil Tigers. He lives near Guildford, Surrey
